Okay so, you have downloaded the Kintree app but are confused about where to begin? Well, we are here to help. In this blog, we will take you through an in-depth process of creating a family tree chart. Without further ado, let’s begin the process.

1. First things first, after you successfully sign up and complete your profile, go to the family tree section and, this is how it will look.

2. Now click on the Add member button on the right corner to add your father and mother. The add member button will look like the image below.

3. After clicking the button, you will get an Add member form.

4. Select your relationship with the member from the drop-down box, such as Father, Mother, Grandfather, etc. Fill up all the details like First Name, Last Name, Age Group, etc., and click on Save.

5. Once the member is added to the tree successfully, you will get their login details. Copy the details and share them with the member. The newly added member can download the Kintree app, log in with these details, and create their family tree.

6. Repeat this process to add more members to your tree. Once added, you can start connecting with your family members via chats, creating events, sharing pictures & videos, etc.

When you add your nephew, niece, cousin brother, or cousin sister to your tree, you will get an additional drop-down to select a member related to the new member. For instance, if you want to add your nephew, the drop-down will prompt you to choose whose son is this new member. You can use the Locate Me button to find your profile on your tree. Just one tap on the button, and bam, it is your profile right there. Also, you can click on the member icon if you want to view/edit the details of any member or view their family tree.
