Women in the business world are commonly referred to as entrepreneurs. However, let's delve deeper. Have you ever tried to calm a schedule, aiming to reach the peak of your family tree? Perhaps not. While our great philosopher and leader, Jawaharlal Nehru, traversed states to save our country, a small yet powerful figure observed her family, simultaneously building her empire to shine even brighter. Women embody entrepreneurship not only when they're managing a business but also when they're holding tiny hands, guiding them to the gate of knowledge.

The world celebrates this day to honour women with glory, yet we strive for continual change. While we admire women with accolades on shelves, let's not overlook the illustrious historical figures adorning our family trees. These women, personified by celebrated names, stand as the foremost figures in our lineage. You may have connections to the history makers who laid the foundation of women's entrepreneurship on their terms.

Jhansi Ki Rani

The lineage is proclaimed by her name; they love and adore her even after ages. The impact this lady had on her lineage is impeccable.  Let's talk about her family tree. She belongs to the Newalkar dynasty, the Maharajas of Jhansi, from 1769 to 1858. The house of patriarchy gave birth to the influential lady who went on to win battles for her people. However, the descendants didn’t have better lives. According to an article by ‘Free Press Journal’, “Grandson of Queen of Jhansi Laxmibai, Laxman Rao and great grandson Krishna Rao were merely private typists in Indore who died in poverty” The sixth generation of greater leader is living a life of anonymity.

In the course of life, migration has led to shared ethnicity, you may also be part of her family tree. It won’t be less than an honour for life, to be part of such a significant personality.  Start building your family tree on Kintree

She is the epitome of womanhood. She is an ideal daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, who never left a mark of abandonment in her lifetime. Her value systems are still practised with equal love and honour. She is highly influenced by her family and always vouched to take the legacy of Nehru-Gandhi ahead. Her family tree has significant personalities like Jawaharlal Nehru, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi etc. She was not only an entrepreneur but also a motherly figure who sacrificed herself for the betterment of humanity.

If we go on digging deeper into her family tree, it might leave us all astonished by a few unrevealed facts. When you start adding members to your family tree, you might also realise some connections, which can be influential figures and are part of your well-bloomed family tree.

It was Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj's maternal lineage which helped him strive for this success. She was well trained with arms and munitions which only helped Shivaji Maharaj to build stepping stones to build Swarajya. The ladies were not in the ideal frame of what an entrepreneur is always considered to be. They all were beyond anyone's expectations and ahead of their times.

Hence, on the occasion of Women's Entrepreneurship Day, we would like to appreciate the real courage and dedication to achieve heights that no one would have imagined during those times. We have also highlighted the importance of family in everyone's life, which is the ultimate driving force to establish an individual.

Women around the world contribute a lot, and 144 countries appreciate that. But women starting businesses still face challenges like not enough education, cultural issues, and not having much money or guidance. Gender biases make it even harder. In India, they're trying to help women entrepreneurs by giving them low-interest loans, creating a good environment for them to succeed and grow.

At Kintree, we celebrate the incredible women worldwide, recognizing their importance and hard work. Join us in supporting women – check out our application to stay updated on how we're making a difference together.
